Aberfeldy

The perfect location for a whisky distillery

Founded: 1898

The Aberfeldy Distillery is a historic Scotch whisky distillery located in the town of Aberfeldy, in the Highlands of Scotland. Founded in 1896 by John Dewar & Sons Ltd., it was built specifically to supply whisky for the Dewar’s blended Scotch brand.

Set on the southern bank of the River Tay, the distillery uses pure water from the Pitilie Burn, a nearby stream famed for its quality and traces of alluvial gold. Aberfeldy produces single malt whisky known for its rich, honeyed character, with notes of heather, spice, and fruit. It has become a core component in Dewar’s blends and is also bottled as a standalone single malt in various aged expressions.
