Cazcabel Tequila

Description

Cazcabel Tequila is an independently owned brand, crafted by the Vazquez family, who bring over four generations of expertise in agave farming and tequila production. Based in Atotonilco El Alto, a region nestled in the highlands of the Jalisco Mountains in Mexico, the distillery benefits from natural water springs and fertile soil, ideal for growing high-quality agave.

The family’s deep-rooted knowledge of agave cultivation ensures that the plants are well-hydrated and nurtured in mineral-rich soil, which contributes to the agave growing larger than in other regions of Jalisco. This quality is a cornerstone of Cazcabel Tequila, providing a rich foundation for the spirit’s smooth profile.

The tequila production process begins with the harvesting of ripe agave piñas, which are steamed for over 26 hours at 95 degrees in traditional brick ovens. This method enhances the flavor and creates a clean, soft profile. After steaming, the piñas are fermented for 10 days in steel tanks, followed by distillation in copper pot stills and steel stills. The final step involves chill-filtering to remove impurities, ensuring a refined and balanced flavor.

Cazcabel’s core range includes Blanco and Reposado Tequilas, both made from 100% Blue Weber Agave and certified additive-free. These expressions are recognized for their light, versatile flavor profile and long, smooth finish, winning prestigious awards such as Gold and Master Awards at the World Spirits Awards. In addition to the traditional expressions, Cazcabel offers three flavored liqueurs—Coconut, Coffee, and Honey—made using natural ingredients and Blanco Tequila. These liqueurs are 34% ABV and have a slightly sweeter profile, making them perfect for long drinks and cocktails.

Cazcabel Tequila is a premium product that reflects the Vazquez family’s commitment to quality and sustainable tequila production, offering enthusiasts a taste of tradition and craftsmanship in every bottle.
